Gamma Rho Chapter Closes Largest Ever Fall Term Pledge Class



October 21, 2008 marked the end of a very lengthy fall term recruitment process that resulted in the addition of 41 new members to Gamma Rho Chapter of Delta Tau Delta fraternity.
This monumental day is rivaled only by the 29 new men recruited in the fall of 2007, which still pales in comparison. Gamma Rho's current recruitment chair, Shiroy Aspandiar, being launched into the position with only days to spare, managed to utilize his resources and his countless efforts show. Delts Emerge Victorious Following UO's First Ever Homecoming Parade


After intensive planning for several weeks, and coordination with Alpha Phi sorority, Gamma-Rho took home the trophy for best float during the 2008 UO homecoming parade. Click here for pictures


Delts Take First in Grades

Gamma-Rho finished first among all Fraternities and Sororities with a 3.26 cumulative GPA. This was the second consecutive term Gamma-Rho finished first among all Fraternities and the first time finishing first among all Greek Houses. The newly initiated members received a GPA of 3.32. Duncan Robb, formerly the Director of Academic Affairs, attributes the house's academic success to two things. "First, we were able to recruit good men, and hole them to high academic standards, and secondly we reinstated study tables, which helped this pledge class to discern between the fun social side and the more serious academic side of the fraternity."
